Family Picnic @ John Forrest NP

A fantastic picnic with all of us together for the first time in along time. While it was a cold it was still a very beautiful day and we had a magnificent walk through the park to the waterfalls, and even throwing most of the picnic gear into the bin didn't’  dampen the day too much.

Shark Bay Monkey Mia

What a brilliant way to end an amazing trip. Two days in Shark Bay and Monkey Mia.

What a truly breathtaking experience the dolphins are and the whole are in general.

It certainly broke up the trip home and gave us all a real break.

What a stunningly beautiful place Coral Bay is. It’s isolated and has a real rugged and raw beauty about it. From the near desert scrub land as you drive in to stark white sand dunes, amazing coral, crystal clear water and wonderful sea life.

Coral Bay trip 2016

This was to be a real adventure and it sure was. Nearly 4,000k’s and the  towns that we visited included, Geraldton, Carnarvon, Coral Bay, Exmouth, Cape Range, Denham and Monkey Mia, with many roadhouses and roadside stops in between.

Here are some pics from the beginning of the trip through to Carnarvon, on this first leg there we managed some Geocaching at the Nerren Nerren rest stop and a quick look around Carnarvon.

 

Easter in Geraldton

Having a fantastic time with family in Geraldton this Easter.

A bit of rain with the odd thunderstorm but still nice and warm. 

Cervantes Long Weekend

 

We just spent a fantastic long weekend in Cervantes and managed to check out Lake Thetis, The Pinnacles  and Thirsty Point.
